But when commencing with a new job or starting in a new school might be a bit difficult, this is where having a mentor to bestow upon you the ropes is crucial. This constructive way of criticism that most mentors offer would help to see things in a better light than most of us would not otherwise recognize. Anyone would appreciate that insight especially when the mentee doesn’t like to be padded by their ego. Instead, the mentee desired to know precisely where he or she was lacking so, that they could improve upon those areas.
2. In education mentoring considerably heightens student’s possibilities for progress and gain insight on a certain thing that wouldn’t be possible otherwise.
Research reveals that students who undergo good mentoring have a more prominent prospect of acquiring academic tenure-track positions or higher career progression potentially in administration or different sectors outside the university.
